The Foundry Labs

Operators, builders, and capital. Now open to founders.

The Foundry Labs takes in founders with an idea of their own and puts the collective to work on it.

Pitch The Foundry
labs/what-labs-is

The Foundry, open to founders.

The Foundry builds products and companies. Each one is proven inside a real business before it goes to market.

Labs puts founders on the same path. A founder arrives with an idea of their own. The aim is for them to leave with a company: a working product, a first customer, and investors who already know it.

labs/what-you-get

What a founder gets.

Operators.
Seif Zoghbi and Adib Ternawly work with each founder directly. They shape the plan, test the thinking, and open the doors.
Builders.
The Foundry builds products. Where it sees the value, it builds alongside the founder.
Capital.
The Foundry's investors see each company first. Those who believe in it can write the first cheque.
A place to work.
A desk in The Foundry's Cairo office for founders who want one.
labs/proving-ground

Real businesses to prove it in.

The Foundry's investors run businesses in agriculture, education, and manufacturing. Labs founders test inside them, with the people who have the problem.

A product that works there has its first proof. The business it worked for can become its first customer.

labs/how-it-works

How it works.

  1. 01

Pitch. The founder sends the idea. The Foundry invites the strongest to present.

  2. 02

Acceptance. The Foundry accepts the founders it believes in. The plan and the stake are agreed at the start.

  3. 03

Test. The founder works inside an investor's business and puts the product in front of real users.

  4. 04

Launch. The product goes live with a first customer.

  5. 05

Raise. The Foundry's investors see the company first.

labs/who-its-for

Who The Foundry backs.

  • A founder who knows the problem. They have worked in the industry, lived the problem, or sold to the customer.

  • A founder who thinks commercially. Who pays, why, and how much come before the technology.

  • A founder who can be challenged. The Foundry says what it sees. It expects the founder to act on evidence.

  • An idea a real business can test. The strongest fits are in agriculture, education, and manufacturing, where The Foundry's investors operate.

  • A company that stays the founder's own. The founder owns it and runs it. The Foundry is a shareholder.

The Foundry accepts few founders. Only the ones it believes in.

labs/the-stake

What The Foundry takes.

The Foundry takes a stake in every company it accepts. The size reflects the work The Foundry takes on. There are no fees.
